TMP100 Thermistor Probe

Air, Soil, Water Temperature

NTC Thermistor Probes

The NTC thermistor probes are ideal for making accurate measurements of temperature. They can be used for making measurements of air, soil, water, and pavement temperatures using a data logger or chart recorder.

The temperature probes use a NTC thermistor housed in a sealed stainless steel cylindrical probe or an epoxy encapsulated sheath. Either probe can be submerged in water or buried in soil or under pavement. The output signal from the probes is a resistance directly proportional to the measured temperature. The probes are typically connected to a half or full resistance bridge with an excitation voltage to provide a voltage signal proportional to temperature.

The sensing element in these temperature probes is a 10K ohm NTC thermistor. In addition to the standard probe housings, the probes are available in other configurations (ring connections, thermowell adapters, etc.).
