MOS Kit
Rugged Portable Field Station
The MOS Kit is a compact, self-contained weather observing station designed for portable use. Over 30 parameters can be measured by the hand-held instruments included in the kit. All the instruments function independently.
The MOS kit contains quality instruments for making meteorological measurements and for GPS accurate navigation.
The instruments can measure:
- surface winds
- temperature
- humidity
- dew point temperature
- solar radiation
- barometric pressure
- altitude
- rain fall
- snow depth
- visibility
- ambient light
- cloud height
- lightning location
- GPS waypoints
- and many more parameters
The digital instruments are battery powered.
The MOS instruments are packed in a weatherproof, pressure-tight, unbreakable carrying case. The case has locking latches, a padded handle, custom padding for the instruments, and pouches for storing weather charts, notebooks, observing manuals, and mobile phone. The case with instruments weighs less than 18 lbs (8 kg) and meets carry-on luggage requirements for airlines.
