The Air Force awarded the FMQ-19 contract based on the unique
capabilities of Mesotech's Airport Weather Advisor®.
Through several rounds of the procurement process AWA repeatedly stood out
from the competition. As soon as the FMQ-19 program was awarded deliveries on the
120 base contract began. AWA has been
installed and is currently operational at over 114 bases.
The Air Force is in the process of upgrading all bases to our state of the art AWA version 7.
The FMQ-19 indoor system includes a rack mounted server, modems, and a
UPS system. A GTA transmitter and a hot stand-by server are optional.
Meteorological weather stations can be located anywhere on the base or anywhere in the world using AWA Web via a secure network.
